SAHALE SNACKS REVIEW and GIVEAWAY!

A few days ago, I reviewed the SAHALE SNACKS product, Valdosta Pecans.

Today, I'm reviewing another of their wonderful products, Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla.

These cashews are positively addictive. They are lightly salted with sea salt for a nice crunch. The vanilla is subtle and the pomegranate makes for a sweet burst of flavour.
I was impressed with the 'lightness' of the nuts -- not heavy at all. It's a very energizing snack -- and extremely portable -- the packs fit well into purses or backpacks.

Serving size is 1/4 cup and only 150 calories -- and fits quite nicely into a healthy eating plan. Sodium content is only 90 mg -- just 4% of the of the RDA! With 4 grams of protein and 5 grams of monounsaturated fat (the 'good' fat) -- this is a great, healthy snack anytime!

In conjunction with SAHALE and their product representatives, I am very pleased to be able to offer three (3) prize packs to my readers!

Sahale Snacks has a wonderful Facebook page. Please stop by and check it out! You'll learn more about their products and where to find them.

Sahale Snacks on Facebook!

Just leave a comment with your name, email address, and a short note telling me how you incorporate nuts / fruits into your daily eating plan!

I'll choose three (3) winners on Thursday afternoon!

Good luck and don't forget to leave a comment!

Have a wonderful day!

Terri

4 weeks ago I started on Weight Watcher's for the umpteenth time. My beginning weight was 300.1 pounds. How did I get so heavy?!?!?!?! Eating all the wrong things of course. As of last Monday I have lost 11.4 pounds and have decided that I truly am in it for the long haul this time. I figure it will take me at least 2 years to get down to a reasonable weight for my size/frame/age. I eat almonds every day for the crunchiness I need and have fruit with breakfast and again as my afternoon snack. I'd love to try your nuts, they sound delish!

I have already lost 46 lbs but have another 62 lbs to go before I reach my goal weight. I use nuts and fruits to add fiber to my diet so that I can feel full. Several strategies: adding 1 tsp. unsalted roasted sunflower seeds and 1/4 cup blueberries to my morning cereal [Kashi 7 grain nuggets], I add pecans to salads for added crunch, I add slivered almonds to freshly steamed green beans, I use walnuts or pignoli nuts in pasta dishes, I poach pears in white wine for a sweet but relatively low-cal dessert, I stuff baked apples with nuts, cinnamon and raisins. When winter comes I'll be adding nuts and fruit to my daily bowl of oatmeal.

How I love nuts! These sound really good. I always thought nuts were pretty much off-limits for dieters, but not any more!

I love, love, love nuts...almonds, pecans, cashews, peanuts! They're easy to grab and filling, I just hate that pecans are so expensive.

I daily eat nuts with a couple of pieces of dark chocolate. I usually get the raw nuts without salt at the nut bar at our Safeway or King Sooper. I make up small snack bags and keep them on hand to grab when I'm on the go.

It's interesting, because about 10 years ago I didn't really love nuts, but I've become more and more of a fan! My favorites are almonds and cashews!! It's great that they are high in protein and make a nice snack, as long as I don't eat too many!

Thanks for the review!

These nuts sound soooo good! I try to eat a handful of mixed nuts before every meal to keep me from over eating.

I'm a big fan of almond butter ants-on-a-log. I'm allergic to peanuts, and now that Maranatha has no-stir almond butter it's great to layer on celery sticks and dot with raisins. Healthy and makes you feel like a kid again!

Having Michael home has made us very conscious of how we eat, what we eat, and when we eat. I LOVE summer fruits, so grapes, strawberries, nectarines, peaches and melons are part of our breakfast every day, and even if we DO indulge in a small bowl of ice cream in the evening, it's got fresh fruit on it.

I LOVE sunflower seeds and put them on the salad I have every day (and I have to admit I grab a handful out of the bag here and there during the day!!)

Great contest, Terri!! These snacks look very interesting!
