BH Cosmetics Tropical Matte Eye Shadow Review & Giveaway Ends 10/22/11

I have a love-hate relationship with eye-shadow! I love to wear it, but hate searching for the "right" colour for my skin. I am, as my Mother calls it, olive-complected (is that a word?).

My skin is just naturally a bit tanned. I think it's from that curious mixture of Scots-Irish-English and Cherokee.

Now, Lizz is a peaches-and-cream complexion. So, most lighter colours work well and the darker colours give her a very mysterious look.

Lighter colours on me -- not so much.

Even sassy urban princesses go on tropical retreats: warm up your eyes with year-round, summer-toned beauty. Breezy blues and sea glass greens dance with peony pinks and lilting lilacs. Sand dune taupes and ocean-splashed grays are as coolly lovely as a late summer sunset.

I really love the Matte finish to these eyeshadows. Shimmer is lovely, of course, but I prefer a more muted statement (my age is showing here). I am partial to greens, purples, and browns while Lizz is adventurous and likes the brightest shades possible.
