Kitchen Hero Silicone Cooking Gloves Review and Giveaway, Ends 3/18/15

How many times have you burned your fingers and hands on HOT pans from the oven? Or gotten steam burns from the microwave? If you're like me, it's happened many times. It's a rite of passage as a cook that never seems to go away.

Let's face it, regular oven mitts wear out -- and you don't know it until they fail and you're left screaming in agony. Lord knows, if oven mitts get wet, your fingers and hand will cook.

When asked to review these red silicone cooking gloves, I was more than skeptical. I have, pardon the pun, been burned before.

However, with some trepidation, I gave them a try.

WOW!  I am impressed!  These gloves, made by Kitchen Hero, are amazing. I've used them every night that I've had them. Microwave, oven, toaster oven, even doing dishes with scalding water! No burned fingers and hands.

These gloves are very easy to clean. They do not stain. Just wash with a bit of soap and water and air dry!

They come with these important instructions:
These gloves ARE NOT FOR YOU: If you have XL or XXL size hands, need to hold things over 425° for more than 20 seconds, or if grabbing a broiler pan which will heat to over 425°.

Take heed: These instructions are given to keep you safe!

Aren't they just too cool? The raised area on the gloves are little red hearts! They fit my hands -- I have small hands. They fit Mike's hands even better -- his hands are large but not extra large.

Comfortable fit, no slipping off the hands, completely pliable, and excellent dexterity.

There's a trade-off in silicone gloves, the thicker the gloves the better the heat protection, the lighter weight the glove, the better flexibility, dexterity, comfort and feel. We chose a medium weight that offers adequate heat protection for moving things out of the oven to a nearby stove top or counter. Offers flexibility and dexterity for removing dishes from the microwave, handling hot foods, changing light bulbs, opening jars, and more.

Kitchen Hero is a good match for any kitchen lovers or practical guys out there because it is very multi-functional, waterproof, and durable. It is made from 100% food grade silicone and has many uses in the kitchen when cooking, baking, grilling and all around the house. It is medium weight, softer and more flexible than those you might have used in the past plus they clean up easily with soap and water.  They make a perfect alternative to traditional pot holders and oven mitts.

Look at that! Just me, my red silicone gloves and my chicken and potatoes!  I cooked the dish on 375* and had no problems removing it from the toaster oven. Now, when I had the roast in the oven, I cooked it at 400*.  My fingers were warm, but not uncomfortably so.

These gloves are going to be in my kitchen for a long time. Mike and I both love them. Wondering WHY we never tried them before!
