Big Kahuna! BKW Seasonings -- CONTEST CLOSED!

CONTEST CLOSED!

Mike (aka Review Daddy) and I love to cook! We're always searching for special rubs and seasonings to use. So, we were very blessed when we were sent some samples of Big Kahuna BKW Seasonings to try!

We received three bottles: Original Gourmet, BK Barbecue Rub, and BKW Butter Blend. Let me tell you, we have been very happy with the results!

We bought some thin-sliced Top Sirloin Steaks and Mike worked his magic using the BKW Seasonings. He rubbed the steaks (we had six) with the seasonings and let them sit in the fridge for about 1/2 hour before broiling them.
We sliced the steaks so that we all had steak with each of the rubs / seasoning.

General consensus: The Butter Blend was our favourite on this cut of beef.

We also did chicken wings one night. No sauce -- just BKW Seasonings. They were very yummy! Our favourite that night was the Barbecue Rub followed by the Original Blend!

We also tried the seasonings on freshly popped popcorn and, oh wow, that was really good, too!

We are so impressed that we're going to grill a turkey this weekend and Mike is going to rub the bird with the Barbecue Rub.

By now, you're curious. Who IS BKW Seasonings?

From The Website:
BKW Seasonings is a family-owned business. Originating in the early 1960’s, BKW Seasonings has been satisfying taste buds for over 40 years. The seasoning was created to produce a unique buffalo-style wing that our family has used for years cooking wings for friends and customers at football games, parties, and gatherings.

In 1997 we opened a small take-out restaurant near the University of Tennessee campus called Big Kahuna Wings. Just two weeks after opening, BKW competed with twenty-nine local, regional and national wing restaurants including Hooters, Spicy's, and Buffalo Wild Wings, among others and was voted BEST WINGS in Knoxville at the annual "War of the Wings." The Big Kahuna legend was born.

While operating the restaurant, we experimented with the seasoning and found it to be exceptionally good to bring out the true flavor in almost any food. Steaks, hamburgers, pork, fish, vegetables, and many other foods have proven to be excellent with the addition of our seasoning. The result was the creation of Big Kahuna Original Gourmet Blend. When you try our blends, we believe you will agree . . . it is the most unique seasoning to ever hit the market, and its uses are endless!

  2. I'd like to try the Big Kahuna Light All Purpose Seasoning - my husband is on a low-salt diet and it is quite a chore to get really tasty food without a lot of salt. For me, any of the flavors would be fine.
