TORTUGA Rum Cakes: Review & Giveaway -- CONTEST CLOSED!

Just recently, we were blessed to receive samples of delicious Tortuga Rum Cakes from the Cayman Islands.

We sampled the Golden Original and the Key Lime cakes.

My mouth waters just thinking about them. The aroma... the lightness... the flavours... *sigh* I'd love to have a slice right now... but we ate it all. :)
I'll start with the Golden Original with Walnuts. This is THE Original Rum cake, folks! It was superbly packaged -- vacuum-sealed and fresh -- and not smashed or crumbled.

Each cake is baked, then hand-glazed to perfection. You can find them in three sizes: 4 oz. mini, 16 oz. medium, and 33 oz. large.

The cakes aren't just just beautiful to look at, either. They taste so very good. Yes, you can taste the sweetness of the Tortuga Gold Rum (darn good rum it is, too!) but it doesn't over-power the cake. It's moist, but not soggy. It's so like the cakes my grandmother used to make at Christmas.

Review Daddy sliced and toasted a slice and we compared it to the piece we didn't toast -- both has that WOW! factor that brings you back for more!

Next, we tasted the Key Lime Rum Cake. Now, you all know how Review Daddy is crazy for Key Lime. Well, he was in Key Lime heaven for this taste test!
The Key Lime flavour is tart and deep, but again, doesn't over-power the cake. It's sweet, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth -- definitely our favourite!
