Dr. Martens -- 2296 Wellington Boot Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to test out a pair of
Dr. Martens (Doc Martens) 2296 WELLINGTON GAUCHO VOLCANO pull-on, heavy-duty work boots.

I will tell you straight - I am very impressed. As a Land Surveyor, I'm constantly in all types of weather and all types of terrain. Not to mention the mud and the muck I track through daily.

I need a boot that will take me anywhere and everywhere I have to go and provide comfort, safety, and warmth. The 2296 WELLINGTON GAUCHO VOLCANO not only meets my needs but exceeds them. This is a high quality workboot.

I've put these boots through the wringer. They've been in ditches and culverts, gravel pits, and swamps, deep woods and marshes -- no leaks, no tears, no discomfort. They've done all I've asked of them and more.

The Wellington Gaucho Volcano is a part of the Icon collection.

The 2296 Wellington is a heavy-duty boot, built to Perform in the most demanding of environments. Durable Full-grain leather upper, padded ankle locking supports and Hard-wearing slip-resistant outsole Make this Boot a must have. Electrical Hazard rated.

FEATURES:

Upper:
Water-resistant Full-grain Leather, Padded Ankle Locking Support, Double Stitched, Leather Pull Loops

Lining:
Nylon Mesh

Footbed:
Removable Nylon Mesh Covered EVA Footbed

Shank:
Standard Wood

Outsole:
SAF Patented air-cushioned sole, slip-resistant to oil, fat, petrol, and alkali

Construction:
Stitch Welted Contoured full cushion insole
Full quarter and vamp lining
Patented air cushion sole
Resists oil, fat, acid, petrol
and alkili
SAF sole

Material:
Volcano is a worn /and distressed leather with water resistant properties which provides a rugged appearance.

The boot is very comfortable but it does run a bit narrow and short. I wear a Men's 9 1/2 and would recommend that you buy one (1) size larger and wider-width than your everyday shoe.

SODA STREAM -- Review

I admit -- I have been addicted to Colas in my time. But, gosh, don't they get expensive after a while! :0

I was so lucky, then, to be given the opportunity to review the wonderful new Soda Stream!

It's an ingenious way of making carbonated beverages at home, Dorm, or in the Office (even the RV!).

Making carbonated water and soft drinks is simple! Turn tap water into sparkling water in under 30 seconds, with no clean-up. Enjoy the freshness and convenience of homemade soda and protect the environment at the same time. No heavy bottles to carry, store at home or throw away. Fizz to your taste and add the flavor of your choice to make your favourite drink. Simple to clean and reuse. With a variety of colors and silhouettes, you'll be sure to find a soda maker to match with any decor.

We received the Fountain Jet Soda Starter Kit and, as you can imagine, Liz decided it would be the PERFECT addition to her Quad at University!

You see, Liz' beloved boyfriend is diabetic. This wonderful little machine allows him to drink sodas again -- without the nasty after-taste that comes with so many 'diet' or 'sugar-free' colas. It is much appreciated to be sure.

They have used the Fountain Jet Soda Starter Kit over and over and are very pleased with it.

Brent and Liz made a video and posted it to YouTube.com to share with their friends and with us!

The SodaStream Soda Makers come in a wide variety of styles and colors to match any kitchen decor.
The one we received is a sleek, stylish Black and Silver!

There are so many flavours as well! Making your favorite soda, flavored sparkling water or energy drink is simple, with SodaStream's wide variety of over 30 sodamix syrups including dozens of regular, diet and caffeine-free options. Flavors include classics like cola, lemon-lime, and root beer...Exotic fruit flavors like orange mango and diet pink grapefruit...Energy drink, sparkling iced teas and cocktail mixers. Each bottle of sodamix makes about 12 liters of soda (about 33 cans!) for around 25 cents per 12-ounce can.

The Soda Stream Carbonators are made of lightweight aluminum to exacting standards set forth by the US Department of Transportation. We maintain the highest quality standards to ensure safety and purity of our CO2 refills. Carbonators are available in two sizes, to make up to 60 or 110 liters of soda or sparkling water per carbonator. A full, licensed CO2 carbonator is included with the purchase of every SodaStream soda maker kit. When empty, SodaStream takes back the cylinder to be cleaned, inspected, refilled and reused. Carbonators may be exchanged online, or at select SodaStream authorized retailers.

Liz has already found two places close to her that are authorized Soda Stream retailers. This convenience makes her busy life so much easier.

We highly recommend the Soda Stream for those Cola addicts who want a bit more control and lot more savings!

Please interact with Soda Stream on their Social Media Networks: Soda Stream on Facebook, @sodasteamusa on Twitter, and on their Ms Fizz blog.

Spa Naturals -- Time to relax Giveaway! CLOSED!

CLOSED!

The month of August has not been a good one and I am so glad it's finally over.

A couple of nights ago, I FINALLY really got to just sit back and relax a bit. Before I went to bed, I treated myself to a SPA NIGHT. I gathered up my beloved Spa Naturals from South of France and luxuriated in it.

A nice hot bubble bath started things off. First, I cleansed my face with Cucumber Aloe Soothing Cleanser then I generously applied my Soothing Cucumber Aloe Mask. After the bath, I rinsed the mask away and soothed my skin with Soothing Cucumber Aloe Moisturizer.

That, my friends, made the perfect relaxing break from the troubles of the world. Just a half hour and I was relaxed and rejuvenated. I can't begin to tell you how much that soothed and comforted me. I slept like a baby and woke up ready to face the day.

I want you to be able to experience that same sense of comfort and rejuvenation. I am offering three of my followers a chance to win a sampling of Spa Naturals products!
