Mighty Leaf Tea -- Review & Giveaway -- Ends 8/30/11

We are tea drinkers in the South and my house is no different. Sweet iced tea is a staple all year 'round.

This year has been a bit different for us, however, because we've grown tired of the same-old-same-old tea.

We switched to Green Tea in May but we've been wanting to experiment with new flavours for quite a while.

Mighty Leaf Tea caught my eye a few weeks ago. The blends offered looked so tempting that I really wanted to give it try.

I was tickled pink when the package came with my Tea and my new Bodum Tea Pitcher!

The Bodum Tea Pitcher makes brewing up your Mighty Leaf Iced Tea so easy!

Mike and I have really enjoyed trying the new iced tea blends. The fragrance of the tea in the silky bags is just incredible: dense aroma that permeates the kitchen. I have never in my life smelled a tea (or coffee for that matter) that literally awakens your senses like Mighty Leaf Tea.

My first tea to brew was the heady blend of the Calypso Mango -- it's like brewing up an exotic Jamaican Garden! It smells so nice and the taste is so clean and refreshing. The mango... the hints of citrus and spice... it's so relaxing. I am, in fact, sipping on a tall glass of it right now. :)

Our Calypso Mango Iced Tea is an indulging blend of luscious mango and tropical fruit that drenches South Indian black tea leaves. A sweet and cooling fresh-brewed iced tea with a rich, amber hue.

Even though it's blended for iced tea, I actually discovered that I like this as hot tea, too.

I suffer with TMJ and had a fairly bad bout the other night, I brewed some tea and rather than waiting for it to cool, I poured a cup and added a bit of sugar. The taste was so lovely and it was so comforting that I was able to relax. I can't tell you how much it helped.

Mike is partial to the Sunburst Green Tea -- he loves it sweet and cold. Mike's out in the field all day and when he comes home, he wants a big glass of sweet tea.

Our Sunburst Green Iced Tea whole leaf pouches deliver the crisp taste of sun ripened oranges and sweet citrus that brighten mountain-grown Chinese green tea leaves. A cool and vibrant fresh brewed iced green tea with a light emerald hue.

My Mom is partial to the tried-and-true Black Tea. So she was delighted to try the Organic Black Tea -- it has a very smooth flavour and is perfectly suited the South and our love of sweet tea!

Our Organic Black Iced Tea is made of refreshingly rich and smooth south Indian organic black tea leaves. Hand-picked on the dewy slopes of the Nilgiri mountains, these vibrant organic tea leaves unleash a fresh iced tea with dark amber hue.

Last, but not least, we tried the Ginger Peach -- very appealing to this Georgia born and bred girl!

Ginger Peach Iced Tea Whole Leaf Pouches is made from sun-swelled peaches and delicate ginger that infuse a refreshing blend of Indian black tea leaves. A blissful and lightly sweet fresh-brewed iced tea with a golden hue.

The Peach flavour (and aroma) is deep and soft. It doesn't over-power the subtle hint of ginger at all. This is a bright, fresh tea -- perfect for these blistering hot Savannah days (and nights). This was our all-round favourite. No doubt.

What makes Mighty Leaf Tea so amazing?

In ancient traditions around the world, a freshly brewed pot filled with whole tea leaves is revered as the richest in character. Inspired by this legacy, Mighty Leaf specially created the silken Tea Pouch filled with the world’s finest whole tea leaves, herbs, fruits and flavor too big for ordinary tea bags. Discover why the Mighty Leaf Tea Pouch is extraordinary and unrivalled.
