New England Coffee -- Iced Coffee Bliss -- CLOSED!

CLOSED!!!

The fact that I love coffee will come as no surprise to you. The fact that I love New England Coffee isn't a shocker, either, is it? ;D

It's true. I do! I do love New England Coffee! The Blueberry Cobbler is my all-time favourite. Hot or iced... there is nothing better!

Imagine my sheer delight when New England Coffee recently sent me three bags of their coffee to try and share with you.

I was fairly dancing when the deliver man came to the door! Inside the package I found my beloved Blueberry Cobbler, the seasonal blend of Peach Cobbler, and the wonderfully smooth Eye Opener Blend.

Heaven!

I tried the Eye Opener Blend first. It's a medium roast blend of Colombian and Central American beans kicked up a bit with zesty, dark-roasted French Roast. It's surprisingly smooth. Not as robust as a dark French Roast but it packs a bit of a punch. It is perfect in the morning when you want to get your eyes open and your brain in gear!

I didn't get to try it iced as my Mom hijacked the bag! That's what I get for inviting her over for a taste-test.

The next coffee I tried was the remarkable seasonal blend Peach Cobbler.
I tried this first as hot coffee. It has a very light aroma and the peach flavour is subtle. I like that. I don't want a flavoured coffee to overwhelm my senses. I added a bit of sugar and no cream and it was just such a nice cup of coffee.

I then made a pot and fixed it up as iced coffee. When I added milk (whole) to it -- the peach flavour was enhanced. It's a very refreshing, light iced drink and we liked it a lot!

I'm a Georgia girl -- we know peaches. This is a great peach-flavoured coffee!

Now we come to my very favourite coffee: The amazing Blueberry Cobbler!

This was my special coffee to savor. ALONE. I made a pot of hot coffee and drank three cups... each sip a delight. The aroma that fills the air takes me to the country and the blueberry farms of Southeast Georgia.

It's a lightly sweet coffee and really doesn't need much sugar at all! I think I used one sugar substitute in my cup. This is a very smooth, light roast infused with sweet and juicy berry flavor and a just hint of spice. Not over-powering, just comforting.

When I tried it iced -- WOW! It is fabulous! I made a small pot (4 cups) stirred in 1/4 cup sugar -- allowed it to cool -- then added about 2 cups of whole milk. I placed it in the fridge overnight (which just about killed me as I wanted it right there and then!) to really chill.

Next morning, it was a lovely addition to my breakfast! Ah, the milk really brings out the blueberry flavour of the coffee. It tastes like an old fashioned blueberry cobbler.

For some reason, I always thought that iced coffee was the domain of the high-priced coffee shop. Not anymore. It's MY domain now! And, friend, it can be yours, too!
