Kauffman's Fruit Farm -- Review and Giveaway, Ends 1/10/13

Review Daddy and I love fresh fruits and we are just crazy about jams, jellies, butters, spreads.  Don't believe me? Just look at my scales.  NO!  On second thought... just take my word for it.

What we DON'T like is so many additives and preservatives that the actual fruit is lost in the tangled web of ingredients.

So, when given the opportunity to try the amazing products from Kauffman's Fruit Farm, I jumped at the chance!

We received large jars of Blueberry Jam and Home-made Apple Butter.

Obviously, Review Daddy took the Apple Butter and ran away with it.  So much for me getting the first taste, right?  That's okay.  I ran off with the Blueberry Jam.

Bagels and Blueberry Jam for me -- Toast and Apple Butter for Mike.

So help me, I am sitting here right now with my coffee and bagel loaded with the oh-so-amazing Blueberry Jam!

It's loaded with delicious, succulent blueberries.  I seriously thought this jam would be like others I'd tried, tasty but not crammed full of berries.  WRONG.  Oh, so wrong.   So far, I've resisted the temptation to just eat spoonfuls from the jar.  That's not lady-like -- is it? ;)   I did put a couple of tablespoons on my french toast Saturday morning!

Ingredient List Blueberry Jam::
Sugar, blueberries, water, pectin, and citric acid.

That's it. Five (5) ingredients. When was the last time you saw that on a jar of jam?  I'll bet it's been a while!

Review Daddy finally shared a few bites of his Apple Butter.   You know, I was really caught by surprise.  The apple butters that I've tried before never really had any 'taste' to me.  This is different.  It's slightly sweet, with a nice tartness on the tongue, creamy, and gently spicy.  And it smells so good!

Goodness.  That's the best word for it.  Goodness.  Mike likes his on toast.  I tried mine on an English Muffin.
(My Apologies for Mike's rather wild-eyed look.  He wanted to eat while the toast was still warm!)

Ingredient List Apple Butter:
Fresh Apples, apple cider, sugar, cinnamon.

Four (4) ingredients.  No preservatives, no chemicals.  No unpronounceable additives.
