Mrs. Renfro's -- Review and Giveaway, ends 12/23/13



Ya'll know by now that I L*O*V*E salsas and dips!

So, I was delighted to be offered the chance to review some great products from Mrs. Renfro's foods! I was blessed to receive 4 jars of their best salsa, dip, and sauce.

We ate them up, YUM!

I have left only the bar-b-que sauce, which we'll be using Sunday on a lovely brisket. That is, if I share. ;D

The first thing Review Daddy and I opened was the Chipotle Nacho Cheese Sauce. This cheese sauce is lovely. The chipotle flavour is just right, the sauce is smooth with bits of peppers. Just enough heat to warm your heart. Even Mike liked it and he normally doesn't like chipotle.



We took the jar of Peach Salsa to my Mom's for Sunday dinner snack. I didn't get it back. It's a mild chunky salsa loaded with diced peaches. Sweet, slightly warm... and goes perfectly with fresh-made tortilla chips. Mom poured her salsa over cream cheese -- that was fantastic. Needless to say, we ate about half of it before dinner.



Now, MY favourite! The toasty warm Black Bean Salsa! Oooohhh... it's spicy, very warm, and oozing with flavour. I've been trying to eat it in small amounts to keep it as long as possible, but truthfully, I think I have enough left for tonight's snack. I poured some of it on top of a taco salad and the topped with sour cream. Bliss, I tell you!



We haven't yet used the hickory flavour Barbecue Sauce. We're saving it for Sunday dinner at my Mom's -- I've got a beef brisket ready to go. :)



Mrs. Renfro's offers so many amazing products: Corn Relish, Ghost Pepper Salsa (HOT!), Green Tomato Pickles ( a favourite of mine), Hot Chow Chow), Mexican Mild Sauce, and so much more!

One of the things that is important to me is labeling of food products.  I have to be careful because Mike and Mom can't go the very hot stuff and I am happy to say that Mrs. Renfro's carefully labels each item in regards to the heat inside.  So choosing your heat level is simple and quick!

    It's tough to pick only 4. I've enjoyed all Mrs. Renfro flavors I've ever tried. I'm a big fan of their Mango Habenero salsa.

    These look great! I'd like to try the Black Bean Salsa, the Ghost Pepper Salsa, the Roasted Salsa, and the Ghost Pepper Nacho Cheese Sauce (and a whole bunch more!).

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Pomegranite Salsa OH and the Raspberry chipotle! so those would be on my list. I would love to try the Nacho cheese sauce and the corn relish.
