How can you tell if a brown, black, dark blue towel (or any towel, really) is clean? You hold it to your nose and... deeply inhale.
OOPS! Towel isn't as clean as you thought, eh? Who knows WHY it got put back up on the rack? Or maybe you live with a smoker? Oh, yeah, that's a fragrance you want lingering on your freshly showered skin! NOT. :(
Well... I live with a smoker. And trust me, the smell of that horrid nicotine permeates everything. What removes such a persistent odor? Laundry detergent can mask the odor but really doesn't seem to take all traces away.
I've found a product that does remove all traces of odor from your towels: Smelly Towel Cleaner!
I freely admit that when I first received it and read the directions, I just didn't think it would work. I was wrong.
When you open the bottle, the light fragrance draws you in -- it smells like fresh lemons. Lemons do smell so crisp and clean, don't they?
The directions call for one level cap full (one tablespoon) of Smelly Towel Cleaner powder to one load of towels and hot water to wash. Skeptical, I was. But I followed the directions to the letter.

I learned it is safe for any septic system.
My workout clothes smell like they worked out before I worked out even though I just washed them. Sweat is my hardest odor to remove.

I hate to turn away business but if you HAVE to use it to keep odor away washing habits should change. If you like to use it all often all it takes is a half tsp with your detergent to remove odor, soften towels, make them fluffier and enhance detergent effectiveness. You can actually clean your washer while doing laundry!

I do a lot of cooking and I would say that grease smell is the hardest to get out.
My husband works in a factory and it is very hard to eliminate the oil smell.
I like that it's all natural and odorless.
