Smelly Towel Cleaner Review and Giveaway, Ends 7/6/15 #smellytowel

How can you tell if a brown, black, dark blue towel (or any towel, really) is clean?  You hold it to your nose and... inhale.

Towel not as clean as you thought?  Who knows why or how it got put back up on the rack.

Do you live with a smoker? That's not an odor you want lingering on your towels or freshly showered skin!

I live with a smoker.  The smell of that horrid nicotine permeates everything.  What removes such a persistent odor? Laundry detergent can mask the odor but really doesn't remove all traces and a slight residue is left behind.

I've been using a product that does remove all traces of odor from your towels: Smelly Towel Cleaner

I started using it a year or so ago. I didn't believe it would work the first time I tried it.  I was wrong.

When you open the bottle, the light fragrance draws you in -- fresh, light, and clean. It reminds me of  Orange Blossoms.

The directions call for one level cap full (one tablespoon) of Smelly Towel Cleaner powder to one load of towels and hot water to wash.

It works fabulously well!  No nicotine odor -- none!  The towels smell so good and so clean! Not only do they smell lovely but they were deep cleaned.  You won't need fabric softener, either.  Residue from soaps can cause clothes to feel a bit stiff and scratchy.  Smelly Towel Cleaner removes all built-up residue and rinses clear.  Clothes are naturally softer.

One bottle has 24 treatments for up to one year of fresh laundry. It retails for $14.99 for a 12 oz. bottle. That's an amazing value.

Buncha Farmers Review and Giveaway (ARV: $40), Ends 7/5/15

A few weeks ago, I discovered a Canadian company called Buncha Farmers.  I am so glad that I did! They have some amazing, natural products for your family and pets!

I was blessed to receive the truly remarkable Stain Remover stick, Manuka Honey and Oatmeal Soap, and the Bubblegum Lip Balm.

The Stain Remover comes in a long, square stick.  It’s made with all-natural, biodegradable ingredients, coconut oil, palm or soya oil, canola oil, litsea cubeba essential oil, eucalyptus essential oil, lye, water and enhanced with borax to soften the water and aid the cleaning process.

We fight all kinds of stains because Happy Husband works outside so much: mud, grass, oils, etc.  For really stubborn stains, just slice a bit of the stain stick off, melt, and gently work into the wet fabric and allow it to set overnight.  So far, so good! Stains are gone!

Now, Happy Husband was the first to try the Manuka Honey and Oatmeal soap as he is the one with such sensitive skin.  This soap certainly met (and exceeded) his expectations. I love it, too.  It's a very gentle soap, has a nice lather, and leaves the skin feeling very refreshed.  This is an unscented soap, with no harsh chemicals that leave the skin red or irritated.

The Soap is available in these combinations:  Manuka Honey and Lavender, Honey and Lemongrass, Honey and Oatmeal.

And last, but not least, we received the Bubblegum-flavoured Lip Balm.  I love my lip balm! It's both gluten and paraben free.  It lasts a very long time on the lips and is gently conditioning.  The taste of bubblegum is a favourite.

The Lip Balm is available in these wonderful flavours: Plain, Cherry, Watermelon, Bubblegum, Peppermint, Vanilla Latte

Buncha Farmers offer many other natural products:  Acne Cream Laundry DetergentHand SanitizerPet Shampoo, and more!

You may purchase Buncha Farmers products at these locations.

You may connect with Buncha Farmers on their website and social media pages: Facebook and @Bunchafarmers on Twitter.

The lovely folks at Buncha Farmers have offered one of my readers a fantastic prize package that includes:
A Stain Remover stick, all 3 varieties of soaps, and one of each of the lip balms!  This is a $40 dollar value! Isn't this amazing?

Just follow the entry instructions below for your chance to enter to win!

Open to USA, 18+, No PO Boxes, please. All entries are verified. Giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. on 7/5/15.

Grateful Naturals Review and Giveaway Ends 6/15/15

DISCLOSURE:
I received products from Grateful Naturals for the purpose of this review. I received no monetary compensation. The opinions expressed herein are my own and based on my own use of and experience with the items.

As I'm sure you know, my family loves natural products -- organic whenever possible.  I seriously never thought that I'd find not only natural skin and body care but also pain relief rub and even natural bug repellent!

I heard about Grateful Naturals from a friend.  So, I thought I'd investigate further.  After taking a long look at the website, I knew that ya'll would want to know about these great products, too!

A couple of weeks ago, I was truly blessed to receive several Grateful Naturals items in the mail:
two sticks of Botanical Deodorants (Lavender for me and Lemongrass for Happy Husband), a stick of Muscle Relief balm, and a spray bottle of Botanical Bug Repellent.

Since Happy Husband works outside in very hot and buggy South Georgia, he took the bug repellent.  He really wasn't sure it would help, but has expressed surprised pleasure that it DOES work!
Ingredients include: Distilled water, alcohol free witch hazel, spearmint oil, citronella, clove, tea tree, lavender, lemon and rosemary.

The essential oils and citronella are proven repellents but are not harsh and have no nasty medicinal or chemical odor.  Tea Tree Oil is toxic to several insects.  Witch Hazel is a natural healing remedy for insect bites!

Mike sprays it on his hands and other exposed areas every couple of hours (not the face) and isn't coming home with bites.  That's a huge relief as he has sensitive skin and insect bites just make him miserable.

The botanical deodorants are just fabulous!  I choose the Lavender Scent and Mike took the Lemongrass. Now, he was a bit concerned as he has to use a deodorant that is mild, not harsh, and won't cause him to burn or develop a rash.  He's also not crazy about scented products.

The deodorant stick is very lightly scented.  It contains Coconut Oil, Baking Soda, Arrowroot Powder, Shea Butter, Organic Beeswax, Essential Oil.  It's not as 'hard" as a regular chemically processed stick deodorant. It's more like a balm. It goes on a bit thicker than most, but definitely NOT sticky and it dries faster than a gel or roll-on.

I chose the lavender for both it's aromatherapy and healing properties.  I am fairly stressed and the light, gentle fragrance of lavender soothes and calms my soul.

Mike chose the lemongrass for it's known healing properties of pain relief, relieving exhaustion, and soothing aching joints.

We also received a stick to botanical muscle relief -- a very soothing balm for achy joints, arthritis, muscle pain. Ingredients include Coconut oil, beeswax, birch, clove, and essential oils.

May I bring gently to your attention how the deodorant and muscle relief  look VERY similar??? In the early morning... before coffee... after the shower and before you put on your glasses... one can quite easily confuse the two.

Ask me how I know???

Yes. I confess. I used the muscle relief stick instead of the deodorant under my arms.  Seriously, it wasn't until about 15 minutes later that I realized that the 'deodorant' has not dried and my arms were toasty warm.

However, I did learn that this amazing Muscle Relief Stick does NOT burn the skin the way that chemically-processed muscle pain relief products do.  This is a great blessing because it means that Happy Husband can use it, too.

I have it sitting right here at my computer desk.  I roll it over my fingers in the morning when I get started and again just before bedtime.   I keep the deodorant by my bedside.  It's just safer than way... LOL! ;D

You may purchase Grateful Naturals on their website or these fine stores.

Connect with them on their website and social media pages: FacebookPinterestInstagram, and @gratefulnatural on Twitter.

The folks at Grateful Naturals have very generously offered one of my readers the chance to try a few of their wonderful products!

One winner will receive an SPF-35 Sunscreenbug repellentlip balm, and deodorant (winner's choice of fragrance).

That's a total value of over $40.00!

A Prettea Little Tea Quartet MIYU Beauty Review and Giveaway, Ends 2/22/15 #miyubeauty

Are you stressed?  Is your life hectic? Is it all taking a toll on your mind, spirit, and body? Do you feel yourself becoming lost in the shuffle?
Like me, you probably answered YES to all three!

Sometimes, de-stressing is much easier than you think. A calming cuppa tea and a refreshing spritz of soothing mist is all it takes.

I know. I was recently blessed to try the amazing A Prettea Little Tea Quartet from MIYU Beauty.

The word MIYU (pronounced mee-you) is an adaption of the Chinese word "mei yuan" which means "origins of beauty".

UNWIND WITH FRIENDS!  At MIYU, we believe that one of the best cures for stress is laughter.  Why not make a regular meet up with friends to just laugh, unwind and sip a calming cup of de-stress mi beauty tea?

DE-STRESS MI BOTANICALS:
•    peppermint:  known to soothe inflamed skin while purifying complexions
•    five essential minerals:  including silicon, magnesium, copper, iron and
zinc which all work together to enhance skin barrier function, decrease
stress related factors in the skin and provide anti-inflammatory
     properties
•    licorice: used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to prevent and
soothe skin sensitivities while brightening dull complexions
•    ginger: provides protection against environmental stresses, while acting as
     a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory
•    dandelion: used in China for years as an anti-inflammatory for
     aggravated skin
•    honeysuckle: soothes and protects the skin against environmental stressers

HYDRATE MI BOTANICALS:
•    rose: imparts soothing and softening properties to the skin
•    goji berries: this superfruit is brimming with antioxidants, most
     notably collagen-enhancing Vitamin C
•    wild pansy: promotes more effective water transport throughout the
different layers of the skin, thereby improving skin hydration
•    mangosteen: known as the “queen of fruits”, this Asian fruit is
     loaded with age-defying antioxidants

Each A Prettea Little Tea Quartet Kit Contains:
•    1 – hydrate mi beauty essence, 15 ml
•    1 – de-stress mi beauty essence, 15 ml
•    2 sachets of hydrate mi beauty tea
•    2 sachets of de-stress mi beauty tea

It retails for approx: $24.00.

I L*O*V*E the De-Stress Tea -- the peppermint is strong, calming, and so soothing and warm. Mike even had a few sips! Yes, I shared!  The Hydrate Mi Tea is very smooth, delicious, and leaves you feeling renewed and refreshed.

The beauty essence mists are just lovely! They are matched with the teas for maximum effectiveness.  When you're feeling stressed or in need of hydration, just a quick spritz on your face will give your skin the pick-me-up it needs!

Smelly Towel Cleaner Review + Giveaway Ends 4/12/14

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

How can you tell if a brown, black, dark blue towel (or any towel, really) is clean?  You hold it to your nose and... deeply inhale.

OOPS!  Towel isn't as clean as you thought, eh?  Who knows WHY it got put back up on the rack?  Or maybe you live with a smoker? Oh, yeah, that's a fragrance you want lingering on your freshly showered skin! NOT. :(

Well... I live with a smoker.  And trust me, the smell of that horrid nicotine permeates everything.  What removes such a persistent odor? Laundry detergent can mask the odor but really doesn't seem to take all traces away.

I've found a product that does remove all traces of odor from your towels: Smelly Towel Cleaner!

I freely admit that when I first received it and read the directions, I just didn't think it would work.  I was wrong.

When you open the bottle, the light fragrance draws you in -- it smells like fresh lemons.  Lemons do smell so crisp and clean, don't they?

The directions call for one level cap full (one tablespoon) of Smelly Towel Cleaner powder to one load of towels and hot water to wash.  Skeptical, I was.  But I followed the directions to the letter.

OHMIGOSH! It worked!  It worked fabulously well!  No nicotine odor -- none!  Seriously, I was stunned. The towels smelled so good, so clean!

The next load I washed was Mike's work clothes and... not only did they smell lovely but they were deeply cleaned.  And you don't need fabric softener, either.  Residue from soaps can cause clothes to feel a bit stiff and scratchy.  Smelly Towel Cleaner removes all built-up residue and rinses clear.  Clothes are naturally softer.

Mike and I are completely happy with Smelly Towel and use it with every load of towels and work clothes.  I think you will like it, too!  1 bottle has 24 treatments for up to 1 year of fresh laundry. It retails for $14.99 for a 12 oz. bottle.

You can connect with the makers of Smelly Towel on the Smelly Washer website and their Social Media pages: FacebookGoogle+, and @smellywasher on Twitter.

The great folks at Smelly Washer have generously offered one of my readers the chance to win a bottle of Smelly Towel for their own!

Roundtree Organics Review and Giveaway Ends 2/28/14

Disclosure:  I received products for the purpose of this review.  I received no monetary compensation.  The opinions expressed herein are my own and based on my own use of and experience with the item(s).

I'm sure you all know by now that I am a soap junkie aficionado.  It's true! I love soap and I especially love natural, organic soaps!

I am no fan of additives, preservatives, harsh chemicals and such.  I don't like them and they just destroy poor Mike's sensitive skin.

I discovered Roundtree Organics by happy coincidence. I was searching Etsy for natural soaps (we go through a lot of soap!) and found Nick's Shop! Lucky day!

The very first soap that caught my eye was The Outdoorsman: Organic Handmade Soap designed to combat All things Outdoors!

*Handmade item
*Materials:
Organic Olive Oil, Raw Shea butter, castor oil, Organic Coconut oil, Organic Palm oil, Sweet Almond oil, Essential oils, Rosemary extract, Organic Aloe Vera, Tea Tree, Cedarwood, Citronella, Thyme extract.

I knew this was perfect for Mike.  He fights all kinds of bugs, ants, bees, wasps.  You name it -- the man's bitten by it.  It's also great for his super-sensitive skin.  The oils soothe his dry skin and help to ease his painful muscles and joints.

For myself, I chose the Organic Lemon-Lavender Handmade Soap with Exfoliating Dead Sea Salt.  Oh, how I wish you could smell this amazing soap and it's bright, natural citrus fragrance. The sea salt is perfect for washing dead skin cells away.  It leaves the skin soft and moisturized.

*Handmade item
*Materials:
Organic Olive Oil, Essential Oil of Lavender, Essential Oil of Lemon, Dead Sea Salt, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, Organic Palm Oil, Grapefruit Seed Extract.

I love these soaps.  Made with care and lots of love, they are Handmade, Vegan (no animal by-products), and 100% Natural!  You won't find anything scary here.

There are several more I intend to try in the near future.  The price is right: $4.99 for a single bar!  You may also buy them in bulk!

You may connect with Nick and Roundtree Organics his Etsy Shop, Facebook Page, and @soapmakernick on Twitter.

Nick has very generously offered one of my readers the chance to win TWO bars of soap for their very own!  How cool is that?  Just follow the entry instructions below for your chance to enter to win!

NOXICARE Review and Giveaway ends 2/27/14

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I've talked a lot about my husband, Mike (Review Daddy), in the past. He's the very best of the best and I love him dearly. He's a Land Surveyor, and as such he's out in all kinds of weather and all types of terrain. Woods, marshes, swamps, sand, mud, muck -- and it wears him down.

He aches all of the time. Hands, knees, joints, muscles. This on top of the fact that he suffers with fibromyalgia. I hate to see him in pain and not be able to help him.

We've tried so many different sprays, creams, rubs -- nothing seemed to relieve that pain. And I can't tell you the number of times we've used a cream that promises relief only to discover that harsh ingredients have caused Mike's skin to burn and itch. That on top of already hurting joints and muscles? No thanks!

A couple of years ago, we discovered Noxicare, an amazing pain-relief cream developed by Dr. Reza Ghorbani.
Unlike so many of the other creams we've tried, Noxicare isn't loaded with a myriad of unpronounceable ingredients!
Noxicare uses all-natural ingredients such as Extracts of Turmeric, Willow Bark, Ginger, Holy Basil, Rosemary, Boswellia, and Alpha Lipoic Acids. These ingredients were all chosen for their anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and other topical uses.

Mike has never experienced and burning, itching, or other unpleasant side-effects with Noxicare. The cream is rich and thick, no off-putting odor, and most importantly, no burning skin!

NOXICARE WORKS! It relieves Mike's pain which allows him to get a good night's sleep which, in turn, allows him a good day's work. I've begun using it myself now. I noticed after rubbing his back with it, that my own hands don't hurt from my arthritis. BONUS!

I was using Ben Gay Extra Strength because the heat doesn't bother me so much. But the odor lingers... the greasy feel on my skin lingers on... but the effect of the heat does not. . With Noxicare, there is no obnoxious odor, no greasy skin, no burning heat. There IS deep relief of pain and that is what matters most.

Yes, I give Noxicare my highest regard and rating. It works. It works for Mike and me. I believe it will work for you. Try it and compare to your old cream -- see the difference.

You can connect with Noxicare on their Website and Social Media Pages: Facebook, @noxicare on Twitter, YouTube, and Google+.

You can find Noxicare at most fine Retailers.

The folks at Noxicare have generously offered one of my readers the chance to try their amazing cream! Just follow the entry instructions below!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Mohawk Valley Maple Syrup Review and Giveaway Ends 2/16/14

DISCLOSURE:
I received products from Mohawk Valley Trading Company for the purpose of review.  I received no monetary compensation. The opinions expressed herein are my own and based on my own use of and experience with the item(s).

You'll recall that I recently posted a review of Mohawk Valley Trading Company's Raw Honey

I thought it couldn't get any better than that. I was wrong!

It gets better!

I also received a bottle of their amazing Grade A, Robust, Dark, Pure Maple Syrup.

Like most people, I've bought maple flavoured syrup. Trust me, the imitation does NOT do the real thing justice at all. Mike (Review Daddy) and I will never buy imitation again. Last night, we had home-made french toast, bacon, and Mohawk Valley Trading Company's  REAL Maple Syrup.

Seriously, how does one describe perfection? Slightly thick, fragrant, sweet... those are just a few inadequate words.  It truly enhances the food that you're eating -- it doesn't overpower it. It's versatile as well. It's NOT just for pancakes, french toast, or waffles.

Check out this recipe for Maple Pecan Scones!

Just take a good, long look at Mike's masterpiece last night... French Toast, Bacon, and real Maple Syrup.  Are you hungry now???

Cool, huh! Mike cooked!  Every bite better than the last -- Delicious! Mike doesn't know it yet... but we're having french toast again tonight! :D

About Maple Syrup:

Maple syrup is made from the xylem sap of sugar maple, black maple, or red maple trees, however it can also be made from other maple species. Maple syrup production is mainly located in northeastern North America; specifically the northeastern states (including New York, Vermont and Maine) and the southeastern parts of Quebec and Ontario, Canada. Given the correct weather conditions, it can be made anywhere in the habitat range of the maple trees. In cold environments, the trees store starch in their trunks and roots before the winter; the starch is then turned to sugar that rises in the sap in the spring.

Our maple syrup is made primarily from sugar maple sap, which is preferred for maple syrup production because it has an average sugar content of two percent. Sap from other maple species is usually lower in sugar content, and about twice as much is needed to produce the same amount of finished syrup.

The folks at Mohawk Valley Trading Company have generously offered one of my readers the opportunity win the same 32 oz. Glass Bottle of Pure Maple Syrup that I received. I thank them kindly!

Just follow the instructions below for your chance to enter to win!

***Open to USA, Only. ALL entries will be verified!***
