Dr. Woods Soap! Review and Giveaway, Ends 12/4/12

I love soap.  Always have... but now, I really do need to be more careful about the soaps I choose.  Mike's skin is so sensitive (Lizz' skin as well) that many soaps just irritate and itch.

I discovered Dr. Woods Soap by happy accident. I was just typing different soaps into a search engine.  Delightfully surprised I was!

Dr. Woods Soaps are:
*All natural
*No animal ingredients
*No artificial colors
*Not tested on animals
*pH balanced
*Biodegradable
*No lauryl/laureth sulfates
*Paraben and phthalate free

I can't think of anything I prefer more than all-natural ingredients. Words I can't pronounce concern me when my family is using a product for their body and mind!

Dr. Woods Soaps are produced as both Castile and Shea Butter bar and liquid.

Dr. Woods Bar Soaps come in nine (9) different scents and types: Lavender Castile, Baby Mild, Peppermint, Ginger Citrus, Raw Black Shea Butter, Red Currant Clove Raw Shea Butter, Garden Cucumber Raw Shea Butter, Coconut Raw Shea Butter, and Skin Lightening English Rose.

Liquid Soap is available in Shea Vision Peppermint, Almond, Tea Tree, Lavender and Baby Mild. The Liquid Castile Soap is available in Peppermint, Almond, Tea Tree, Lavender and Baby Mild.

From the website:

Our Castile Soaps

Very mild, moisturizing and versatile for everyday use as a body wash, facial cleanser, shampoo, and bath soak.
Originating from Castile, Spain, soaps are vegetable based, containing no animal fat.  They are natural and biodegradable, perfect for consumers who care about the environment.
Castile Soap contains olive oil, giving it natural healing properties and the ability to attract moisture and hold it close to the skin to form a breathable layer that prevents moisture loss.
Dr. Woods Castile Soap does not contain any harsh detergents that can strip away skin’s natural moisture.  The Vitamin E rich lather leaves skin feeling naturally soft and clean.
Dr. Woods is eco-friendly and ideal for guilt free camping and laundry.
Five fragrances – Peppermint, Almond, Tea Tree, Lavender and Baby Mild.
Three sizes – 8 oz., 16 oz. and 32 oz.

Our Shea Vision Soaps

Shea Vision provides the wonderful addition of Organic Shea Butter to Dr. Woods Castile and Black Castile Soaps.
Shea Butter is nature’s hidden secret for beautiful skin.  Once a year in the African Savannah, the Mangifolia tree gives up its fruit known as the karite or the shea nut.  After being hand picked, the shea nuts are boiled to extract their treasure, Shea Butter.
Shea Butter is an ultra moisturizer that penetrates and revitalizes skin.  Shea Butter naturally contains vitamins A and E, essential elements that give skin the balance it needs for improved elasticity and to combat dryness.
Sizes – 8 oz., 16 oz. and 32 oz.
Peppermint, Almond, Tea Tree, Lavender and Baby Mild
Shea butter and vitamin E are nourishing anti-oxidants to promote natural skin repair.

I received the Baby Mild, which I gave to Lizz, as her skin is so very sensitive to irritants. She tells me it works like a dream -- and the itching and irritation is noticeably less.

For me, I'm using the marvelous Tea Tree Facial Cleanser. Anti-Oxidant Facial Cleansers do absolute wonders for your complexion, they leave your skin with a very healthy, radiant glow. Botanical extracts and organic shea butter neutralize free radicals, heal blemishes and regenerate skin cells. The Tea Tree formula will absorb excess oil, declog, and shrink pores.
I love it. Just a couple of weeks and I can see and feel the difference!

Mike is using the Pure Black Soap with organic Shea Butter. It does wonders for his dry, irritated skin. Because he works out in the wind and weather... it's a true blessing. The wonderful folks at Dr. Woods would love to connect with you! You can follow them on their Website, on Facebook, and @DrWoodsSoap on Twitter!

They have generously offered TWO of my readers the chance to win a bottle of the amazing Black Soap Facial Cleanser!
