Mrs. Renfro's Review and Giveaway, Ends 11/20/12

Some like it...HOT!

I know I do!

I was absolutely thrilled when I recently had the opportunity to try some of the amazing products made by Renfro Foods.

Mrs. Renfro's offers some of the very best salsas, relishes, pickled veggies, and cane syrup I've ever had the pleasure if eating. They are just so good. I didn't know where to start and it was not easy getting me to stop.

I received 4 products: Cane Syrup (I'm a country girl at heart), Green Tomato Pickles, Mango Habanero Salsa, and Pineapple Salsa.

The Cane Syrup is dark and thick. It's less processed than the syrup most non-Southerners buy. Cane syrup is simply cane juice boiled down to a syrup. And it is the staple of the Southern table. I took it my Mom's for Sunday dinner and we used it on out biscuits. Later, I poured it over the cake she'd baked! YUMMEH. I had every intention of bringing it home with me, but Mama insisted that it was 'safer' at her house. Uh huh.

The Green Tomato Pickles were a smash hit with my Mom, too. I was eating them straight from the jar, but they are quite spicy with lots of lovely heat, so mama ate them on a cracker with cream cheese! Those were good, too. And yes, mom kept that jar as well.

Aha... but here we get to the salsas! MINE! All mine!

The Pineapple Salsa a medium heat. Warm and sweet. Even my Mother-in-Law liked it! For Mom and MIL, I took a small dish and placed softened cream cheese in the center, I spooned the Pineapple Salsa around it -- that way neither mom nor MIL would have any issues with the heat. It didn't last long, but I did manage to sneak away with the jar!

Last, but definitely NOT least, the magnificent Mango Habanero Salsa! Oh... wow! This is H*O*T!!! But it is so darn good, ya'll!

The first thing that hits you is the citrus-sweet pineapple, the spice of tomato, and the big finish of the deep heat. It hit me... tossed me around a bit... and I grabbed another chip and started all over again!

Yeah... it's that good. MIL declined to try it, but my Mom is brave (Scots-Irish) and will accept any challenge. The heat grabbed her attention for sure -- but she liked it! I was surprised to say the least.

As a family, we give Mrs. Renfro's 5 ***** Stars! Everything is made to perfection. These are fabulous products and I highly recommend them. Just be sure to check before you buy to make sure you're getting a heat level that will be comfortable for you! Some products are hotter than others. All are clearly labeled on the website, though, so you shouldn't have any issues. If you're new to salsas and / or relish, be adventurous! Kick it up a notch!

You can connect with the fine folks at Mrs. Renfro's on their website and Social Media Pages:
Facebook, @MrsRenfros on Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube.

And now the best for last! The generous folks at Mrs. Renfro's are offering one of my readers the chance to win some of their amazing products for their very own! One lucky reader will win *4* products of their choice! Just follow the instructions below for your chance to enter to win!

Contest is open to USA only, please. One entry per person per household. Contest begins on November 9 and ends on November 20, 2012. All entries will be verified.

DISCLOSURE: I received four products for the purpose of this review. I received no monetary compensation. The opinions expressed herein are my own and based on my own use of and experience with the item(s).
