***I have wonderful news to share! Our oldest daughter has been safely delivered of a beautiful girl-child! Mom and baby are doing fine. Two excited grandparents are besides themselves with joy!***
And that, my friends, leads me to this review.
I've come across a product that I knew right away would be of great use to Michelle and the new baby. It's called The Tortle and it's a simple, yet very effective tool to combat
Flat Head Syndrome.
Babies’ skull shapes can also become asymmetrical from birthing issues, pregnancy problems, and congenital abnormalities."
The Tortle is a simple design that works well in combating Flat Head Syndrome.
It was developed by Dr. Jane Scott, Neonatologist and Pediatrician.
*Align the support roll behind one ear; then at feeding time, switch sides so baby doesn't start favoring one position.
*The support roll is firm enough to prevent baby from rolling over, and soft enough to encourage comfortable, natural movement
*Made from 95% cotton, 5% spandex
*Support roll is non-toxic foam
*Available in small, medium, and large
The Tortle comes in it's own reusable, snap-closure, carry bag. It's washable, and easy to take anywhere!
I received this sweet pink-flower Tortle for my new grandbaby. I want to do whatever I can to protect her and see that she's healthy and happy. Wearing this small cap will help prevent Flat Head Syndrome and that's one ailment my daughter won't have to worry over.
The Tortle may be used in the cradle, car seat, and stroller! Remember to change the position of the support roll often so that your baby won't always lay her head on just one spot!
How do I use Tortle?
To Prevent Flat Head SyndromePlace Tortle support roll behind baby’s ear to aid in the repositioning of baby’s head from left to right. Reposition support roll and infants head every 2-3 hours for a maximum of 6-8 hours a day
To Treat mild to moderate Flat Head SyndromePlace over baby's flat spot, this will keep baby's head off the favored spot.
The Tortle is now available at Buy Buy Baby, BabiesRUs, and Target!
You may connect with Tortle on their Website, Pinterest, Twitter, and Facebook pages.
Dr. Jane and the folks at Tortle have generously offered one of my readers the chance to win one of their very own!
If you have a new baby or know someone who does, this is truly a gift of love and safety for them.

I learned that baby's can get flat heads if they lay in the same place too long.

Alternate baby's sleeping position after each feeding/changing. Make sure they lie on their back.
Baby blue-medium Thanks.
I've learned that some babies can be born with plagiocephaly due to restricted in utero positioning...I didn't know that, it actually surprised me. My son had a touch of plagiocephaly that luckily cleared up enough that he didn't need a helmet, so now I'm super nervous about my daughter developing the same issue.
I'd go with neutral.. whimsical blue elephants if possible! And probably medium size.
I learned this can affect the babies development

I learned that positional plagiocephaly has increased 600% in the past 20 years.
I'm expecting a baby any time now (37 weeks, gender unknown) -- I probably would want either a neutral colour or the elephants (neutral enough) -- in 0-2mo (small).
I've certainly heard of Flat Head Syndrome but I would have never guessed that 50% of babies experience Flat Head Syndrome. Had I ever known that, and knew of this for our first child, I would have bought it immediately. Future children will need this including children of family and friends.
Should I win, I'd clearly have to choose the neutral since the wife isn't pregnant...yet.
I wish I had this product when my oldest son was born because his head was heart shaped. I would like a girl in newborn size.
I learned that they sell these at Babies R Us.
I would like boy colors (the elephant print if possible) in medium.
girl med pink
It comes in three different sizes from newborn up
boy in a medium for my little ma
I have learned that it will help protect my baby's head from flat head syndrome.
The size ranges from newborn and up!!
Neutral!
I learned that the best method of prevention is to be diligent in repositioning your baby’s head.
I'd like gender neutral, as my sister doesn't know what she's having yet. ;)
Oh shoot, I forgot to say size- newborn!
I learned that flat head syndrome can cause vision problems
I'd love a small newborn white one

i wuold want a whimsical elephant, small :)
I didn't learn anything from the site, as I already knew about Flat Heads. My son went through it as a new born and went through testing. Happlily he passed so he didn't require the helmet unless I wanted him to have it for cosmetic reasons. So we passed on it
I would like the small Neutral
