Cats shed. Dogs shed. Nothing you can do about it, it's a natural process. It DOES, however, lead to furniture covered in fur... people covered in fur... everything covered in fur!
We've tried a lot of brushes and "de-shedders". I suppose they work okay, but never really do a great job of removing fur from our cats.
