Do you love to cook? I do.  Happy Husband aka Grill Daddy loves to cook even more than I do! We watch Gordon Ramsay, Robert Irvine, and Marco Pierre White whenever possible.  Mike is always buying kitchen gadgets and grilling tools.

Kitchen Hero Silicone Cooking Gloves Review and Giveaway, Ends 3/18/15

How many times have you burned your fingers and hands on HOT pans from the oven? Or gotten steam burns from the microwave? If you're like me, it's happened many times. It's a rite of passage as a cook that never seems to go away.

When asked to review these red silicone cooking gloves, I was more than skeptical. I have, pardon the pun, been burned before.

WOW!  I am impressed!  These gloves, made by Kitchen Hero, are amazing. I've used them every night that I've had them. Microwave, oven, toaster oven, even doing dishes with scalding water! No burned fingers and hands.

These gloves are very easy to clean. They do not stain. Just wash with a bit of soap and water and air dry!

Aren't they just too cool? The raised area on the gloves are little red hearts! They fit my hands -- I have small hands. They fit Mike's hands even better -- his hands are large but not extra large.

Comfortable fit, no slipping off the hands, completely pliable, and excellent dexterity. 

There's a trade-off in silicone gloves, the thicker the gloves the better the heat protection, the lighter weight the glove, the better flexibility, dexterity, comfort and feel. We chose a medium weight that offers adequate heat protection for moving things out of the oven to a nearby stove top or counter. Offers flexibility and dexterity for removing dishes from the microwave, handling hot foods, changing light bulbs, opening jars, and more.

Kitchen Hero is a good match for any kitchen lovers or practical guys out there because it is very multi-functional, waterproof, and durable. It is made from 100% food grade silicone and has many uses in the kitchen when cooking, baking, grilling and all around the house. Kitchen Supreme Spiralizer Review! #spiralizer

I love kitchen tools! I collect them -- although -- I don't always use them!  However, I recently was given the opportunity to review the new  Spiral Vegetable Slicer for Healthy Salads/Pasta.

This is a kitchen tool I WILL use. I love it already.

Getting Mike to eat veggies is like pulling teeth. He resists at every turn. Well... I got him last night. We made spirals out of zucchini and I added them to the sauce for the spaghetti. He ate it up! He loved it!

I seriously didn't know what to expect when the package arrived. I imagined a large, bulky, heavy piece of equipment. Not so! Happy surprise: It's small, light weight, easily managed. It needs no assembly.
The Kitchen Supreme Spiralizer fits into my kitchen drawer easily. It comes with a cleaning brush for the hard to reach inside.
*The sharp blades are inside. Use caution and use the brush to clean them!*
Just a quick brush or two, rinse well, dry, and tuck it neatly into it's nylon pouch!

Even though it's rather small in size, it's still big enough to handle fairly large veggies: zucchini, squash, carrots, even a quartered eggplant! I can't wait to grab a few potatoes and make curly fries with it (They are Mike's favourite!)

This is a product I highly recommend! It will be a much-used, much-loved addition to your kitchen essentials.

Ozeri Green Earth Pan Review

Mike and I love to cook.  But we both hate cleaning up (who doesn't).  We both especially hate having to soak and scrub our pans.  So, when we were given the opportunity to try the new 
Green Earth Pan from Ozeri, we were delighted!

The Ozeri Corporation is known world-wide for it's fine kitchen products (as well as home, bath, and fitness).  The Green Earth Pan is a wonderful addition to their kitchen line.

Mike, or Grill Daddy, as he's often called, was the first to use the pan.  Very impressed by the weight of the pan (about 2 pounds) -- that makes it sturdy and it sets well on the burner on the stove.  The interior of the pan is textured and coated with GREBLON - an ultra-safe ceramic non-stick coating from Germany which is 100% PTFE and PFOA free. 

We both loved the very easy clean-up, too.  We wiped it out with a paper towel and then just a few swipes with a bit of gentle dish liquid and a sponge.  To keep the non-stick coating from peeling or losing the non-stick quality, it's recommended that you clean the pan periodically with diluted lemon juice or vinegar.  The lemon juice works best for us.

This pan is really brilliant. I know that some people say it's hard to brown anything in it, but I haven't had that problem.  I DO use only medium to low heat.  Using this pan on a higher heat MAY cause issues with the coating.

Needless to say, I tossed the old towels and put the new ones to use right away.
